GET CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT CREDIT AT UVU!
Students,
Great news! You are currently taking a class during second semester (advanced photo!) at Timpanogos High School that also qualifies you to earn concurrent enrollment credit at UVU.
Concurrent enrollment (CE) provides you the opportunity to take college classes and earn both high school and college credit. The UVU concurrent enrollment program will allow you to earn college credit at a fraction of the price of full-time college attendance - concurrent enrollment credit costs only $5 per credit (in addition to a $35 one-time application fee)! It is also a great way to introduce yourself to college level learning while in high school. CE students are nearly three times more likely to go to college and many attend the institution from which they took concurrent enrollment classes.
To register for concurrent enrollment credit you will need to visit https://www.uvu.edu/concurrent/ to begin. Timpanogos is encouraging all students to complete the registration before January 15. In case you are unfamiliar with the registration process, there are step by step instructions at https://www.uvu.edu/concurrent/admissions.html.
PLEASE NOTE: All students must turn in the parent permission form that is attached to this email.
Juniors and Seniors can complete their UVU CE registration online.
Sophomores must begin their registration online (to receive a UVID #, which takes 24-48 hours to be processed), and then complete a paper copy of the Sophomore by Exception Application form. A copy of the form is attached to this email. Please fill out the form COMPLETELY--including the "Parent Recommendation and Signature" section. Forms should be handed to Mrs Johnson in the counseling center to be scanned and electronically sent to UVU. Sophomores also need to show college readiness by completing the Accuplacer Exam at the UVU campus Testing Center (details about this are on page 3 of the form).

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me, or the Timpanogos Counseling Center.
I hope you have a great second semester here at THS!
